Old Friends....

The other night I was able to visit with an old friend that I haven't seen in a long time. By "old" I mean, my best friend since Jr. High at good old Manuel F. Cunha Intermediate School here in Half Moon Bay. We have been through it all together, and even though we don't see each other often these days, the closeness is still there after all of these years.

So we were chatting about life and all that we have been through together...My friend and I graduated from Half Moon Bay High School together in 1985, she moved to Martinez and then to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly, she has travelled the world ( a couple of times) worked her way through a myriad of high tech companies, start-ups, fall downs, start ups again, got her Masters degree. She has lived in several places, settling in San Jose, married to a high tech guy enjoying a life that makes her very happy, and that makes me very happy.

Meanwhile, I have stayed HERE....commuted to school, worked at a local company for 15 years, married a wonderful man who works in our community for CCWD, we are raising our son here, he is the 5th generation of my family to live in this community....and now with Del Mar Properties I get to work with people every day to find homes here.

Chatting with my friend always makes me wonder how life would be different now if I had hit the road out of town back in 1985, and I always come back to the same realization. I already live in one of the most beautiful and amazing places on earth, Half Moon Bay! I see the ocean every single day, and in  40 minutes I can find myself in the heart of a city, San Francisco or San Jose!  I am so incredibly lucky to call this place HOME...

Where else in the world...

Can you leave the grocery store and be inspired on your way home by a sunset like this? Or stop off at the beach for a quick holiday card photo shoot of your child and get these results...

Here... here in Half Moon Bay. I'd rather have these sights and opportunties to inspire me rather than a Target or mall right around the corner. We have plenty of conveniences here, we have grocery stores, fabulous resturants and even a scrapbook store. We live in a magical place where we're part of  a community that respects diversity and heritage.

Welcome to our Real Estate blog!! You may have noticed the "Dynamic Duo" above....those are actually our sons this Halloween. Since Moriah and I are quite the "duo" in our own right, we decided it was a fitting title for our blog.

Moriah and I are sisters-in-law, best friends, and business partners. Clients working with us get not one but two licensed Realtors working hard for them to sell and market their property or to help them find the perfect Coastside home...or both. As part of  Del Mar Properties , we work closely with our broker Carole Delmar who has an excellent reputation, and has been working in Real Estate on the Coast since 1981.

We created this blog to share a little bit more about who we are and what we do. Choosing a Realtor is a big decision, you should know as much as you can about the people you are working with. We also wanted a place to share about this wonderful community where we live and work.

"Batman and Robin" up there are the fifth generation of our family to be raised in Half Moon Bay. This is our home, maybe after you learn a bit more about it here, you will want to make it yours too!
